Euphemia White Doull was born on 24 July 1870 to Jane Struthers and James Doull in Fetlar, Shetland, Scotland. Her brother Alexander was born in September 1871. Their father, Rev James Doull of the Free Church of Scotland, was appointed to New Zealand in September 1872 so the family embarked on a new life. 

In the December 1886 prize giving at the Turakina Classical School, Euphemia had achieved marked progress in Latin and was awarded 5th prize for gaining 85% in 13 subjects and a Miss Christie conduct prize. In 1903 she passed her music examinations in the junior section.

Sister Euphemia White Doull gave long service as a Māori missionary nurse, with maternity and Karitane training, working in the Presbyterian Māori mission from 1919 to 1938. She was based in Nuhaka (where she studied Māori language), Ruatāhuna, Te Whāiti, Matahi, and Waiohau, all remote central North Island areas.

In 1930 Euphemia was ordained a deaconess to the Māori and appointed to Matahi. She retired in 1938. Euphemia died on 27 August, 1957, aged 87 years and was buried in the Hamilton East Cemetery.
