Mary Ann Norton Milne, daughter of Emma Elizabeth Norton and Alexander Milne was born on 12 August 1872 in Parua Bay, Northland. She married George Henry Daysh in 1891 and they had two daughters: Viva and Brydie.  

Mary Anne died in 1956. She was buried in Waikumete cemetery, Auckland.
