Alice Maud Reardon was born on 26 November 1870 in Nelson. Her mother, Mary, was 38 and father, John, was 28.
Alice married Charles Pearce in July 1897. They had three children during their marriage. She is related to the Creed, Neylon, Hobbs, Reardon, Gibson, Kinnear, Kiely, Shannahan, Ryan, Millner, Turpin, Clack, Rowton, Dahl, Dale, and Conrick families.
She died on 18 September 1959 in Hataitai, Wellington, at the age of 88, and was buried in Wellington.
Panel materials: Antique cotton fabric and lamb’s wool from Re-Sew used in this panel. The new wire and velvet flowers and handkerchiefs were my mother’s, brought back from England in the 1950s. The back is starched vintage table linen from my family collection.
