Ellen Murfitt was born on 5th February 1850 in Ely, Cambridgeshire, England.

I don’t know much about her apart from that she was my great-great-great-grandmother’s (Annie Murfitt) sister. Their sister or sister-in-law Catherine also signed the petition on sheet 238. My other great-great-grandmother Jane Fraser also signed the same sheet as Ellen. Ellen married Thomas Murfitt a flour miller and appears to have had 13 children.
