Annie Verry was born in 1849 in Cambridge, England and came to NZ as a baby. She lived with her family in Wakefield near Nelson and later in Wellington. In 1874, she married Thomas Verry. The couple ran a farm in Sanson and had 6 children. Annie’s occupation was listed as Postmistress of Sanson in 1896. She signed the petition in 1893.
